Still relevant in 2026: Yes
Globusz Books · Technology
Technology books that still deserve your time.
A practical library for software developers and other technology professionals. The shelf is reviewed for relevance as technology changes, so older books can remain as foundations—or move into history when their practical guidance has aged out.
Why this section exists
Technology was part of my working life.
I spent part of my working life as an IT developer. One thing that experience made very clear is that technology never waits for you. There is always another language, framework, architecture, security problem, or new way of building software to understand.
This section is my attempt to keep a useful reading map for people working in technology—or trying to enter it—without pretending that every once-important technical book is still equally useful today.
Current-year relevance
Relevance follows the calendar automatically.
Books marked current display “Still relevant in 2026: Yes”. Older books with enduring concepts can be marked foundational. Books whose practical guidance is substantially obsolete move to the historical shelf instead of disappearing.
Still relevant in 2026: Yes — foundational
Preserved for context, but excluded from the current professional reading shelf.
The status can be reassessed as tools, frameworks, standards, and professional practice change.
